Calm communication with lavender oil
I’m sure you have one or two bottles of essential oil in your home. Most people have lavender for sleep and tea tree oil for spots. You may enjoy using the oils for their therapeutic properties but, did you know that essential oils have an ancient legacy? Not only have they been used for medicinal purposes since 2000 BC, they have also been used for ceremonial purposes. Some sacred traditions using oils are based in shamanic magic. They can be used for meditation, healing, aura cleansing, anointing, rituals, psychopomp work, creating sacred space and vision work.
Oils become sacred when a sacred space is created and an intention set to work with it for sacred purposes.
Lavender has long been known for its healing properties. Used to soothe burns, stings and skin irritations. In the same way that lavender can heal our external wounds it can also heal our spiritual and soul wounds. Bringing the vibration of lavender oil into your space and onto your body will calm your spirit.
Lavender can support you through calm communication. When we are tense our words and ideas don’t flow. And likewise, repressed words and thoughts create a bottleneck of tension in the throat.
Sit in your own quiet ceremonial space and apply diluted lavender oil to your throat chakra area. Sit in stillness and allow lavender to bestow the gift of quiet contemplation. From this stillness you may receive clarity. From this clarity you can communicate your needs.
Invite the energy of lavender to calm your insecurities and allow you to confidently speak your truth. Imagine your true voice and impeccable words finding the ears of those who need to hear you. Imagine how this new found honesty will improve your relationships.
Notice the warm relaxation in the throat chakra. Imagine any fears you hold of being seen and heard dissolving. Enjoy the feeling of liberation when you are released from these self-inflicted limitations.
Once you have sat in contemplation with lavender oil for a while. Journal your thoughts or any words you feel arise that need to be spoken out loud. Set your intentions to communicate with this new found clarity and confidence?
