My initial relationship with essential oils was a physical one. As a new mum I wanted natural remedies for every day health challenges you know, lavender for nappy rash, peppermint for tummy aches that sort of thing. I graduated to replacing my shop bought toxic cleaning products to making my own natural cleaners with essential oils. I loved making remedies for friends and family.
More recently my work with essential oils has taken me on a more esoteric path. Essential oils are a portal into the natural world. They have their own energetic vibration and wisdom. Communing with specific oils is my favourite way to work with my emotions and energy.
I have found that partnering specific oils with a healing intention, quiet contemplation and meditation is the most powerful way to transform emotional wellbeing.
Magnolia is a great example for this practice. It has a sweet feminine scent and is known as the oil of compassion. Magnolia encourages us to connect with our feminine or maternal energy and inspires us to show compassion and see the divine beauty in others. When I feel numb or withdrawn or find myself judging others, I use magnolia on my heart space and ask for guidance to move towards compassion and acceptance.
Once I realised the the healing potential of essential oils on this energetic level I felt a renewed sense of joy in sharing oils with other women.
